Funding for new investigators

Would you like to work with Cancer Research UK, one of the world’s leading cancer research organisations? Do you have a strong track record of research? Is your research relevant to understanding, preventing, diagnosing or treating cancer? Are you aiming to become a leader in your field?

Cancer Research UK is committed to developing the next generation of leaders in cancer research. We have recently launched this year’s schemes to support new investigators. We welcome applications from researchers with interests in any areas of research that is relevant to cancer. We are particularly keen to support new investigators in population research.

We are aiming to support up to 10 new investigators in this round of applications.

The deadline for preliminary applications is Thursday 19th August. To find out more about the schemes that are available to support your research, see the new investigators section.

Cancer Research UK funds 10 new investigators

Cancer Research UK has recently awarded £12 million to 10 exceptional researchers from across the country. The funding will help them develop their careers and generate exciting discoveries that will help more people beat cancer than ever before.

The new investigators awards include three funding schemes:

We plan to make 10 more awards in 2012. You can now apply for this year's schemes. The deadline for preliminary applications is Thursday 28 July 2011.
