We are pleased to announce that we will take forward a new programme of work exploring the challenges facing the UK in a changing Europe.
The following themes have been identified as potential priorities, but could be revised over time:
The future of the European Single Market and the implications for trade, labour market dynamics, and internal migration (within Europe) Financial markets, monetary union and the future of the Eurozone European institutions, democracy, governance, regulation, justice, and human rights Social cohesion, national and European identity Europe’s external relations, foreign-, defence and security policy Environment, energy and sustainability Anti and pro-EU political parties and local level community cohesion, including the area of culture and everyday life.
In October 2013 we sent a letter to the leaders of all UK political parties, Government Departments, First Ministers and UK Members of the European Parliament informing them of our plans.
