Evaluation of Digital Social Research

The Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) is seeking to commission an evaluation of the Digital Social Research (DSR) Programme.

The DSR Programme, directed by the National Strategic Director for e-Social Science, Professor David De Roure, aimed to maximise the benefit from the existing digital social research investment through a programme of small strategic investments in the period 2010-2012. These investments were designed to broaden practice in order to boost research impact, and to lay the ground for future world-class social research. These investments included a round of demonstrator and sustainability projects, the development, administration and coordination of a community funding programme and a programme of workshops and events.

The Evaluation will provide: 

accountability to the ESRC, for its investment in DSRfeedback for those supported under DSRthrough publication of the executive summary, information and guidance for those in academic, policy and practitioner communitiesguidance on future priorities for ESRC and other funders (where appropriate).
